cryptochordism

As good timing would have it,I was currently discussing
with colleagues on this side of the ocean, what is the
definition/risks of cryptochordism
If the testes are in the scrotum but high up,just outside
of the inguinal canal-is this also cryptochordism?does
this have an increased risk of torsion,dysgenesis,etc..
In other words does this require treatment. If so,is there
a reason why hormone injection might be more successful in
this picture than a testicle higher up.
Thanking you in advance for your comments.

Hmm, good ideas..

Your ideas are very intriguing, Brad. I would imagine that hormone injection may be the best fix, in this case, but I'm honestly not positive. You're right in thinking there could be another solution, as well.
