Join us for the Fourth Annual Spring Pediatric Conference - Sponsored by Pediatric Alliance and the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
T
he notion that pediatricians are facing challenges in practicing not only the art of medicine but the business of medicine continues to be true and presents significant issues. This conference will present information to help attendess understand the environment in which they practice, and to anticipate changes and new programs that are the future of medical practice. Topics were chosen to be practical, informative and pertinent to how physicians currently practice as well as instructive for the future economic environment.
The first day will focus on Practice Management. By lectures and question and answer periods, participants will learn and identify new tools they can take back to their practices, and implement for better financial understanding and control. PCC's Chip Hart is the presenter on Friday and his courses include: How to Get Paid Fairly for the Work You Do, Clinical and Financial Benchmarks, Seven Steps to a Successful Insurance Negotiation, Vaccine Business Case, and Open Source Software for Pediatricians.
The second day will focus on the Art & Business of Pediatrics. Participants will gain an up to date understanding of the State of Pediatrics as it relates to the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as the role of the Academy in our practice lives. Self-efficacy and understanding the position they hold as a person, a physician, and as a leader, will help participants improve the quality of care they give to their patients. Better coding for 2010-2011 and the difficult decisions surrounding the Electronic Medical Record will round out the day.
