NB Core temps

Hi,

We are looking for a safe, reliable way to get core temp on infants in
the office that we suspect may need a septic work-up.

We used to use glass mercury rectal thermometers, but are concerned
about breakage, or too deep insertion.

We found a "Safety 1st Gentle Read Rectal Thermometer" on Amazon, but it
is marked "For Home Use Only."

Does anyone know of a "Professional" version? What do they use in the
hospitals?

Pediatric Compensation Model Survey Update

Holy Cow, more than 80 surveys in 24 hours! Thank you!

For those who haven't had a few moments to complete the survey, it's still up
and available:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RYLDS39

Here's a teaser (can't do more than that yet because I have so much
data!)...for those for whom productivity is a measured part of the
compensation model, the most popular methods of measure are:

Dollars Collected: 40%
Dollars Charged: 16%
RVUs: 13%
Total Visits: 13%
Work RVUs: 13%

There's plenty more there, I think I'll be fishing in this pond for some time.

Automatic Posting

Would any of you who are using the auto pip program for insurance
payments? Do you print all of the eobs as if you had received the payment
by mail, therefore printing everything ? Or do you just print the problem
payments ? If you don't print the entire eob how far back can you access
payments if there is a problem later on or an issue with secondary
claims, etc ? It's those eob's that are 60 or more pages that would be so
costly to print on a regular basis. So what are the PCC ers out there
doing ?
