fw:virus reminder (toadie)
My husband (a computer nut by profession) just got this virus alert from
work so I thought I'd pass it along.
Kristin
-----
Just a quick reminder to everyone about viruses. One way viruses are spread
is by e-mail and by opening attached files that seem to be from co-workers
or friends.
There is a new virus called Toad.12 (A.K.A. - Toadie.6585) which is a fast
infector. It can render your PC useless and possibly destroy a large number
of .EXE (executable) files. You could possibly see an attached file named
FUNNIES.EXE which contains the virus.
DO NOT OPEN THIS OR ANY FILES YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE.
Islandia says that Virus Signature Version 4.24.8 includes the detection of
this particular virus.
