If someone wants to really understand why there is a flu vaccine shortage
and why flu vaccine has to come form England

All they have to do is go back to talk show host Phil Donahue and the
Vaccine Liability issues of the 90's

The drug manufacturers saw no profit in something that was such a liability
issue in the USA and they stopped making vaccines here

Remember Wyeth made DTP and it nolonger does

Remember all the law suits in the 90's over vaccines

Remember the vaccine compensation act etc etc

This is definitely an issue of this election period but not Bush's fault

It is an issue for the party who is the special interest of Trial Lawyers

Flu Vaccine Shortage

We received 1/10 of our flu vaccine order which was gone in a week. My wife
and about two hundred of her fellow workers at the local library got their
flu shots yesterday, but our asthmatics, et al are still waiting. Oh well,
first things first!

Flu Vaccine Shortage

Hi

Here in our small corner of the world ( North Conway, NH ) we have had no
problems with having enough vaccine. We ordered our vaccine from the GIV
quite early and received all of it in August. We've used GIV the
last couple of years. I think the trick was that we ordered last Spring.
Other agencies are having lots of problems receiving enough vaccine. Our
Visiting Nurses have not been receiving all their vaccines, in fact they
have had to reschedule their flu clinics. Several other physicians in the
area haven't received their supplies as well.
